Ashley Faye is a classically trained pianist based in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. She began playing piano at the age of six, studying curriculum from the highly regarded Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) in Canada.
During her twelve years of music training she performed in many recitals & festivals, worked as an accompanist, taught privately and achieved Grade 9 Piano & Grade 2 Theory with Distinction through the RCM.
Ashley auditioned and was accepted to Mayfield Secondary School, a performing arts high school during which time she played piano, alto saxophone, oboe and english horn and was a participant in many bands, school musicals and choirs.
Innovation & creativity are Ashley’s strong suit, as is thinking outside of conventional lesson plans to excite and inspire musical awakening in the student. Classes are lively, exciting and deeply rewarding. The student’s learning style will be honoured and music goals reached together, in a flexible and adaptive environment.
Ashley enjoys working with students of all ages and abilities. She specialises in beginner children, teenagers and adults. Maple Music was established in 2014 in Melbourne, Victoria.
After 14 years in Melbourne, Ashley, her husband and their young daughter moved to Hobart for a sea change. They have enjoyed exploring their new home and teaching piano to many Hobart students.
